They may have been damaged during transport and the cars have been written off by Porsche. That’s how it work with rail transport.

Damaged cars cannot be put on the road, so if the car is in working order the carrier can use them on their premises (i.e rail yard, airport grounds). I don’t know it’s usual for such (kinda) pedestrian cars to be transported by air but I guess it may happen.

I know this because there’s a yard near where I live and at some point they were using a bunch of brand new Infiniti Ex on the yard as work vehicles. I asked one the guy and that’s what he explained to me.

Ground Transport for flight crews between gates, all airlines have this. Porsche North American headquarters are right next to the Atlanta Airport. They probably made a deal with them for Coporate Travel discounts.

Shuttles for VIPs? I know if there’s a time crunch, they’ll escort someone who flies with them a lot to their connecting flight, right across the tarmac. It’s possible they use Porches for that.

I think they have some VIP transportation thing. I can’t remember where I’ve seen it, but I think it’s one of those ultra-luxury perks you can get.

Porsche NA HQ is located adjacent to the airport and last year they made a VIP ground transportation deal with ATL. I read about it on Jalopnik, so take it with a grain of salt ;)

Basically they’re fleet cars to keep Porsches in front of wealthy people at all times, all while making Delta look better.
